Dear O Street International Supporters:
It is that wonderful time of year again, when we celebrate the Holiday season. It is a real pleasure, and indeed an honor, to reflect on the progress we have made this year. What a year we have enjoyed.
Every year is interesting and different – who would have thought that words like ISIS, Ebola, and Cyber War would become part of our everyday conversation? I hope that we can get beyond these global issues and I see our focus on Cultural Diplomacy being a major pillar in solving some of these issues and making sure they don’t happen again. And yet we continue to persevere through it all, remaining totally focused on our mission. This is what makes us a great organization, and sends us into 2015 on a positive note.
I hope that you will do what I am planning to do, that is, take some time to relax and enjoy the season with family and friends. If you are traveling, please be safe, and if you are staying close to home, please enjoy and celebrate with the people and traditions that are important to you.
Finally, always remember those friends, colleagues, and family members serving our country in distant lands who are unable to be here with us during this special time of the year – may we always honor their sacrifice for our great nation.
